2020 Season Update...
As the impact of COVID-19 (coronavirus) grows in the Washington area, we remain committed to providing our families and players with updates about how COVID-19 affects our travel season. The spread of COVID-19 has all our attention so I wanted to let you know that your daughters and your family’s safety, health and well- being are very important to us. As many of our team practices are held in Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS). We are following the lead of MCPS and the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services who as of March 12, 2020, at 4:45 PM provided an update indicating all Maryland schools must CLOSE in response to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic. Due to Governor Larry Hogan's order school buildings are closed until April 24. Most if not ALL our private school locations are following the same precautions and closing. We will continue to follow updates as MCPS receives guidance from local government officials and Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services.
To this, we as a program have decided to postpone all March/April tournaments on the AAU schedule and will continue to monitor the situation daily and communicate our decisions moving forward for the May, June, and July tournaments as deemed necessary. We are also monitoring the status of the NCAA certified events as they (NCAA) have decided to cancel the Men’s/Women’s WINTER championships. We are in constant contact with tournament directors and as of 04/15/20 the below is a TENTATIVE PROGRAM SCHEDULE.
